where: nan and grumpy's backyard
when: friday june 25
what: campfire, roasting mallows, and family sleepover in the tent - reese sleeping in between mommy and daddy
why: for fun! as we hope to have many family campouts in the future, we wanted to do a test run with reese sleeping in the tent without a packn'play or crib.
how did it go: i'd say, it was a 75% success. she LOVED the mallows. and she thought it was just about the greatest thing ever to hang out in the tent with mom and dad. especially at 2:00am when she woke up and noticed HEY!! mom and dad are, like, RIGHT here with me!! i woke up to her crawling all over me. it took until 3:00am to get her back to sleep. then she woke up at 6:30am because she was cold, so i brought her into my sleeping bag. bad idea. don't ask me how, but it is possible for a 10 month old to kick a grown adult out of their own sleeping bag and pillow. still love her though. and her snuggles made it totally worth it.
