(About 12 1/2 weeks. Doesn't it look like a little alien? This is a direct frontal shot)
Set to make his/her grand debut the end of August. I'm about 14 weeks along and couldn't be happier to be entering the 2nd trimester! The 1st trimester proved to be very, very long - worth every second, but wow was it long!
Because of several reasons, I've already had 5 ultrasounds with this pregnancy - The first two were a little scary but the later 3 couldn't have looked more perfect! The first time we heard the heartbeat was probably one of the most incredible/relieving sounds I've ever heard. I've actually been pregnant before (a little over a year ago) and we were never able to find the heartbeat. I honestly can't describe what a beautiful sound that heartbeat was. Our road to get here has been a little bit longer than we would have liked (definitely not as long as some!), but completely worth it.
So... Everyone seems to be asking, am I showing yet?? I sure feel like it!!! I thought most people didn't start showing until like 5 or 6 months with their first? What's the deal with me? Already most of my jeans are majorly uncomfortable. I don't know if it's because my stomach is just super sensitive or if it really is my fuller tummy. Seriously, the rubber band trick is doing wonders for the discomfort. Before that I would just sit at my desk all day with unbuttoned pants and hoped that no one noticed! Anyways, cheesy or not I'm going to document my growing belly from the very beginning. So here we are with the first pic - me at 13 weeks.
I know,I know. There's nothing really huge there, but I can completely tell a difference. Where once there was a waist there is now no definition at all. Basically I just look really bloated. I have a picture where I rolled up my shirt to show my belly, and with that one you can seriously see a bump (don't worry, I'll spare you skin visual :) ).
So, yup! That's our fabulous news!

Jen,
I have known you for a long long time and you look as good as ever! I can hardly see a bump on your belly- I can't believe your prego! I like your wall hangings- they'll look great. call me next time you get crafty- you know I'm always looking for an excuse to craft.
Wahoo! I've been waiting for you to post something about it! And my dear, you look AMAZING! I'm so glad you will be documenting the bump! Not fair that I will only see you one pregnant...please document well!
Congratulations!!! I am so excited for you. I think it is a great non-cheesey idea to document your growing belly. I wish I had done that with my first!
Yay for the official announcement!!! We are so THRILLED for you guys, and excited that we kind of get to share the road with you! You look so cute, and compared to me, your stomach is flat as a pancake. :( NO FAIR! ;) Haha.. Love you guys. Let's play again soon.
Not cheesy at all! I wish I had taken more pictures throughout it all - especially as it was such a special thing. Also, from here on out, the stomach is officially ruined and stretched, so it's always nice to have proof that once the tummy was cute and flat and that extra skin doesn't just hang out. I can't wait to see all the pics and I can't wait to see how cute your little tiny prego belly will be!
Oh, my heavens! This is so fun to see your ultrasound and cute little tummy. We are so happy for you! And so relieved that things are going well. You are tiny as ever. It's so fun to see your pregnant tummy!
