cow carnival
who: deek, jen, reese, and thousands of meridian citizens
what: meridian dairy days parade and carnival
when: friday, june 17
where: storey park and main street
why: to celebrate the rich dairy history of the town
we've been heading out on the weekends to local community festivals since we've moved here. mostly, just to have fun, but secondly, to get a better feel for the surrounding cities. that way, when we're ready to buy we'll have a better idea about the local scene of each town.
this weekend it was the meridian dairy days. first we hit up the parade:
{please take note of reese's awesome 'smile' in the first pic. this is the lovely face she gives us whenever we ask her to smile or be happy.}
then we thought it would be real fun for reese to try out a kiddie ride.
here she is, all ready to go..
the ride hasn't started yet, and she's wondering why exactly, are mommy and daddy smiling at me like that?
and then the ride starts with a sudden jolt.
it was all over after that.
when it finally came to a stop, i asked her to give me a smile, and begrudgingly, she consented through the tears.
i'm pretty sure we scarred her for life. especially since we were busting a gut the entire time she was screaming. we're real mature parents sometimes.
after, so happy to be on solid ground.

Oh jen, those pictures were awesome. I was laughing so hard! Reese is a doll!
Jen, I'm glad you're back to blogging! Looks like things are going awesome for your cute little family! Have I told you my sister just moved to Meridian?? They LOVE it there!
GREAT pictures! :)
must be an age thing. We took Eliza on Lagoon rides this morning and she had the exact same reaction. And that was even with Trevor sitting right beside her and his arm around her. Even the train was too much, but she did ooh and ahh at the tigers and deers - as long as she was cuddled tightly in Dad's arms.
