discovering treasure valley: settler's park
who: our family of 3
what: evening of fun at the greatest kids' park around
when: wednesday, june 22
where: settler's park, meridian id
why: cool off on a hot day, discover what's around, & to get out of the house
last week, my cousin who lives in nampa introduced me to settler's park. aka, kid heaven. unfortunately, the day we went was 58 degrees plus a hefty wind chill. not so fun or conducive for playing in water.
last night our family ventured back, taking full advantage of the 94 degree day. oh. my. summertime. thank you for finally arriving. musical playgrounds, splash pad (for you davis county folks, picture a pirate's cove sans pirate ship), climbing rocks, multiple playgrounds, acres of grass, complete with a sno cone snack shack that's open daily. in the summer, the city of meridian plays movies on a big screen every friday night. seriously some summer family bliss.
any way, this park is AMAZING. and reese loves it. which means deek and i love it because it provides free entertainment.
we had ourselves a grand ol' time.
it was really hot.
and here's proof that i do actually exist. why are mom's usually the one's stuck behind the camera?
hey look! there i am again. and this time deek's even taking the shot. and of course, we had to get a snowie to complete the evening.
sweet, sweet summertime.

That looks like the coolest park on the planet!! Wish we had one here!
I'm so glad you exist and I'm glad you documented it. You deserve extra credit since you totally could have wimped out and stayed home for a nap while Deek took the Reester. 'm thinking of hitting Boise in the summertime just for that park alone!
